Syntronik Free Vst

Syntronik Free is a fully functional FREE version of Syntronik, the paid for flagship vintage synth VI from IK Multimedia. The best way to think about Syntronik Free is a tasting menu of the full version, sporting 50 presets, 38 effects, parts, layers and arpeggiators that you can play. The IK Syntronik VST instrument also has a Free version with 17 synthesizers and over 50 preset sounds in it, but you can also edit them and create your own sounds. Before using the Free Syntronik VST you have to do several things. You have to create an account on IK Multimedia, if you don’t have one yet.

Make music with this app that comes both as an audio plugin and a standalone program and contains a collection of 17 instruments based on classic synthesizers

Some of you may have noticed that I really like to write about synths. While I’m far from being an expert, I know exactly what’s way better than a synth; more synths! Jokes aside, most music producers will tell you that they have more than one virtual instrument in their arsenal as a means to add some variety to their sound.

Surely, this kind of variety does not guarantee an improvement in your production skills, but it does allow you to explore plenty of sonic possibilities. So, if you’re looking to expand your synth collection, why not try an application that technically is a synth collection?

Explore the sounds of vintage electronic instruments

Syntronik represents an assembly of 17 instruments that emulate the sounds of 38 vintage synthesizers, both analog and digital. While none of these instruments (which you can also acquire separately) have the power and complexity of today’s more advanced virtual synths, combining them may result in some very interesting experiments.

Well, Syntronik allows you to combine up to four synths into a single musical beast. Of course, some serious tweaking is required if you wish to achieve something that’s not entirely deafening, but with such an intuitive interface, you probably won’t have a lot of trouble figuring out what to do.

Powerful music with mostly analog sounds

While each instrument comes with its own parameters, you can add up to five effect modules on top of each synth. You can choose from various amps, distortion units, EQs, reverbs, modulators, or filters. Most of Syntronik’s instruments have warm analog sounds, but the sonic power of playing four of them at the same time is truly impressive. To make things more interesting, you can go to the program’s arpeggiator tool, which is also very well-designed and extremely easy-to-use.

You’ll need 60 GB of hard drive space to install Syntronik, but if you want a complex tool that’s intuitive and lets you create powerful analog-sounding leads, then you better start making some room.

Syntronic Free

It’s time again for a free software title. IK Multimedia has today announced that they are giving way to its newsletter subscribers the Syntronik Memory-V virtual synth instrument for free for a limited time.

Memory-V features over 6000 samples from the iconic Moog Memorymoog Synthesizer initially manufactured from 1981 to 1985. The developers have embedded the samples into 148 instruments presets and 4 multi-patches. Then the plugin gives you control over various filters, envelopes, and more. With the built-in multi-effects processor, the presets can be easily manipulated.

Press Release

We love our IK family and we want to spread some holiday cheer! That’s why we are giving all of our new and existing newsletter subscribers the Memory-V instrument for Syntronik for free from December 16 through the 30th.

Syntronik Memory-V is our take on the classic 18-oscillator monster analog polysynth Memorymoog. Manufactured from 1981 to 1985, it’s often described as six Minimoogs in one unit! Its timbral palette is nothing short of impressive, capable of producing a huge variety of sounds including strings, brasses, pads, flutes as well as more percussive sounds.
